Closing our saturday evening
double -header concert is
Little Johnny England
|
Little Johnny England are five of the most gifted and widely-experienced musicians on the folk/rock circuit. They have pooled their collective talents to come up with a uniquely exciting ensemble.
In the last 10 years they have taken their traditionally-flavoured music to a wider audience and attracted significant praise from the mainstream National press along the way.
As anyone who has seen them will agree, they are simply one of the best live acts on the music scene, bringing a rarely-seen energy and dynamic to their performances ... “they put the rock back into folk rock”!

Also headlining our saturday evening concert is
The Jackie Oates Band.
Winner, in 2009, of two BBC Folk Awards, Jackie Oates is a phenomenon in today's exploding folk-pop scene.
Jackie's unique treatment of English ballads and songs, and pure, haunting singing style has attracted increasing attention.
Mojo magazine listed Jackie's 2011 album 'Saturnine' as one of the top 10 folk albums of the year and she has just been nominated for the 2012 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in two of the most prestigious categories –
